A: All the ladies interested in joining the sorority should check out our recruitment schedule that can be found on our website and additional information can be found on our Facebook page.
Q: Who is eligible to join Delta Psi Delta's Zeta Chapter?
A: Delta Psi Delta - Zeta Chapter recruitment period is open to any women in a post-secondary institution (UOIT, Durham College, Trent University) perusing an undergraduate degree in Oshawa.
Q: What is recruitment?
A: Students perusing an undergraduate degree in a post-secondary institution may participate in recruitment. Recruitment is an opportunity to meet the active members of the Greek organization and figure out if it is the right fit for you. During recruitment we encourage potential new members (that's you) to ask Delta Psi Delta sisters any questions about being an active sister or what any other concerns you may have.
Q: Is it expensive?
A: No. We are a Canadian National Sorority hence our dues are lower than an International Sorority. You get to see first hand where the money is being spent without worrying about any hidden fees. Please keep in mind that there are payment plans available. Feel free to speak to us during recruitment about how much the exact fees are.
Q: How much time does it require?
A: Between 2-8 hours per week once you become a new member. However, the more time you put in the more you get from the sorority experience!
Q: Is Delta Psi Delta's new member process like the movies?
A: Not at all. We do not haze. The new member process is a time to become closer with your sisters, learn about the history and traditions of Delta Psi Delta, and have fun!
Q: Is it true that Philanthropy is a main focus?
A: Absolutely! Delta Psi Delta sisters take pride in helping out the community and participating in our National Philanthropy. We schedule monthly volunteer events which help us become stronger as individuals and as a Sorority.
Q: Is there a GPA requirement?
A: Yes! Delta Psi Delta girls take academics very seriously, this is why the GPA requirement is implemented. All of the sisters try to help each other out as much as possible by: lending notes, planning study groups, or even having a sister to sit beside in lecture.
